The Song of the Week (36): Time and Death (Reveille)

Reveille is a duo consisting of Lisa Lyon Duroux (drums, vocals) and Francois Virot (guitar, vocals, bass). Their first album, released this summer 2010, is a real success in the indie rock genre, very much influenced by the kind of models of the 1990s, mixing pop hooks and dissonant guitars. "Time and death" (which is the title song the album) is probably the best example of their music, with its guitar riff intro "flawed as it should," his voice at once nonchalant and melodious, its noisy pop tunes and his final high class instrumental .
