Much like ...

I enjoyed myself today! A story I wrote about how to Micheline has been published on this site and aroused many reactions even the complainant and especially lots of friend (s) who have fallen in the trap ...

SANTA DOES NOT LIKE THE REHEARSAL

It was Christmas Eve and Joseph rejoiced already enjoy the wonderful Christmas dinner that concocted his grandmother.

Every year, from December 23, the old lady went to her for poulterer to choose a plump turkey. She also bought mashed chestnuts, cranberries, apples, russet, foie gras and all that was needed to make it really Day.

Mamy had the art of digging for apples have small red berries topped with a currant jelly ... A little sweet and sour taste at a time ... Josette loved this delicious preparation. She did not eat only once a year but always with the same happiness. Christmas was not Christmas without this dream meal at Granny.

must say that the table was always decorated with taste. Small imps were placed around the beautiful white tablecloth, the Santa's reindeer seemed to run behind them pulling the sleigh full of tiny packets. Pretty colorful stars were arranged here and there around the beautiful porcelain plates and crystal glasses sparkling. Each year, there were new subjects of wonder for Josette.

Josette and her parents do not celebrate Christmas Eve as they attended the Mass which began at eight o'clock in the small village church. Traditionally, the whole family went there on foot ...

That year, the winter had been early and snow covered the road leading towards the church.

"Whatever we leave early to not miss songs that punctuate the Office. Besides the parish priest asked his followers to come a little early to rehearse ... ", decreed her dad.

"Repeat known songs, this idea sucks!" Josette had responded but without eliciting any reaction from his parents. It will do his duty, period!

about nineteen hours, its mother had wrapped in his cloak of wool. It was practically the only day that Josette could bring this wonderful, warm coat provided by her godmother.

Josette felt like a beautiful lady of yore. She had shod his best boots and put a red wool cap. What face the frosts of the season and the big flakes falling. It looked like millions of stars twinkled in the cold night.

Josette well sought to delay the departure time. She hoped to escape the rehearsals led by Miss Lebas choirmaster and incidentally sacristan. In vain. Mom and dad went out and followed Josette!

When they arrived near the church, Joseph and his parents have heard the songs: they already repeating! But when her father wanted to open the door, the old latch did not bother turning. Dad insisted on pushing with all his strength in vain. Then he drummed. No results. Inside, the songs still more beautiful and probably prevented the faithful to hear that someone wanted to enter! The minutes passed without anyone coming to open the damn door !

At twenty o'clock, miraculously, the latch was released and Josette thought he heard a small jingle bell when his father pushed the heavy oak door. Josette came following his parents and everyone admired his beautiful coat. She sat in the front row next to his classmates and sang "Angels in our countryside" with gusto while the priest walking toward the nursery to drop off the child with plaster.

Without knowing why, Josette had escaped the tedious repetition she did not like at all. She looked at it as a small Christmas miracle.

In return, as every year, we ate and drank cougnou a good cup of hot chocolate. Something to sleep to go and celebrate Christmas the day after noon.

On 25 December morning, Josette awoke and looked out the window. The weather was beautiful and immaculate snow fell during the night covered the landscape.

The journey home Mamy has proceeded smoothly and on arrival, Joseph received a beautiful picture book and a silver coin all brilliant.

Mamy The table was lovely and Josette quietly sitting in his chair could contemplate at leisure small subjects which adorned the white tablecloth. His attention was drawn sleigh pulled by reindeer. She put out his hand and touched him. At that moment, she heard a little tinkle same as the day before the church. It even seemed that Santa Claus had made a small wave of his hand ...
