The Song of the Week (41): Circular breathing (Sunbeam RD.)
Unconsciously, they tend to make better use of groups was discovered by a miracle, which it has fallen by surprise, almost at random and that, when we expected nothing special by pressing the key " play ", we cling instantly. Some feel so tempted to protect this precious discovery of what other, like a treasure jealously guarded, while for others it is instead almost vital to share this discovery with as many as possible ... We must believe that I belong to this second category to talk now about this nice group unknown to the battalion in our region and, in particular, their new two titles "Circular breathing" (which you already discovered in the last show on Radio Canut ). Sunbeam R & D is a group of San Francisco, which for some time, comes a series of small self-generation discs. Recently they have embarked on a series of two titles they seem diffuse, for now, at a rate of one every month, all downloadable for free on their Bandcamp page (links below). "Circular breathing" is the first major title in this series, released on 4 January. Since then, the very successful (too) "Basements & Lives Passed" has followed this February 8. In both cases, it is a classy indie rock, melodic pop as a band like Pavement could be. Highly recommended, therefore, particularly "circular breathing" (wait few seconds before the start of the song) ... Below you can listen to these two mini-disc in full (4 tracks in total, all excellent) and downloaded by clicking on the link in the player:
