Sanyo Pro 700 How To Hook Up To Computer

The Song of the Week (40): The Grey Ship (EMA)

EMA (Erika Anderson) is the solo project of former singer / guitarist of Gowns. His first single, "The Grey ship", was released on March 8 on the Underground Transmission label. The entire album, Past Life martyred saints , it is announced for April 18 next. If it was left to the first two minutes of "the gray ship", we will here a very nice piece of minimalist folk and gouged. It's already beautiful and we can not help thinking of a band like Low. However, towards the third minute, the song takes yet another dimension. The music breaks. Bass, a synth and a battery fit in. The tempo gradually accelerates and then the song continues to grow in intensity. An electric guitar appears again (and even a cello) for this kind of end that leaves you gasping and a bit dazed by the shock, while "the gray ship" ends peacefully again with just a guitar and rough singing. In short, you'll understand a piece like no other that stands out clearly in the endless flow of news by his ambition and his side "epic" sort of. As I said, it is believed to Low (whose next album, incidentally, is for April next: check the next issue of Service and this blog, it could be that I spent a first single this week!). We also said that such music would be quite a place on a label like Constellation. In short, even a really good discovery early this year to listen below (with a link to download the song). We wait with impatience the result ...
